Our Services

Microneedling is a noninvasive treatment during which tiny needles penetrate the skin to create thousands of “micro-injuries.” These trigger a healing process that stimulates the formation of new collagen, improving surface texture and overall appearance of the skin. We have a physician on site during the microneedling procedures, so we can utilize more effective protocols than aesthetician-only practices. We use two of the most innovative microneedling systems: SKINPEN and PROCELL.

SKINPEN is the first microneedling device cleared by the U.S. FDA and has been shown to be extremely effective in rejuvenating the skin and treating scarring and stretch marks. SkinPen creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing process, while minimizing cellular damage. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.

PROCELL Therapies microchanneling device offers cutting-edge biotechnology to induce a breathtaking transformation to the appearance of the skin that can last a lifetime.

Microneedling with PRP

Also known as the “vampire facial,” platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has received so much attention that it may seem as if we have finally found the fountain of youth. Microneedling with PRP involves applying growth factor-rich serum from your own blood during and after microneedling to stimulate collagen growth. PRP can reduce wrinkles, plump up sagging skin, remove deep creases, diminish acne scars, and provide overall improvement in the complexion. While PRP may sound like something straight out of a science-fiction novel, the excellent results speak for themselves for many clients.

PRP is 3-step procedure that includes the following steps:

  1. Blood is drawn from your arm.
  2. Platelet-rich serum is separated from the rest of your blood.
  3. The serum (clear part of the blood) is applied to your skin during and after the treatment to spread the platelet rich serum deep into the skin

Microneedling with Growth Factors

At Limelight, we have found that using skin growth factors helps to improve overall results after treatment. These human growth-factor serums derived from bone marrow stem cells are known to promote scarless healing with minimal inflammation. These factors are applied during and after your treatment in much the same way PRP is used and help to enhance collagen growth.
