Meet the Doctor
Dr. Scott Welden
Dr. Welden is a board-certified physician with advanced training in aesthetic medicine. He began his career as a board-certified emergency medicine physician and served as Medical Director of several emergency departments and urgent care centers in the greater Cincinnati area. In 2005, he changed his focus to cosmetic and laser medicine and completed specialized training in non-surgical cosmetic interventions. He developed a specific interest in laser technology and was an early adopter of the use of various laser-based therapies in cosmetic applications. He has been a lecturer for Palomar lasers and has been involved in the A4M anti-aging society. Dr. Welden also maintains a successful medical-legal consulting practice. Dr. Welden has founded and been the medical director of three other medical spas.
Dr. Welden attended medical school and completed a residency in Cincinnati and has lived here for over 30 years. He lives in the area with his wife, three children, and his two dogs. When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys scuba diving for megalodon shark teeth, playing sand volleyball and basketball with his sons, and spending time in the outdoors.
Aesthetician
Adrienne Ritter
Adrienne is our head Aesthetician with several years of experience and specialized training in aesthetic treatments. She is quite simply the glue that holds the practice together. Adrienne has been at Limelight from the beginning and is integral in making the practice run smoothly. She has advanced training in VI Derm Chemical Peels, Eclipse and SkinPen Microneedling, and Radiofrequency Treatments such as Venus Bliss and Cynosure Tempsure. She also has advanced training and is certified in Microblading for eyebrows. When she is not at Limelight, she enjoys spending time with her 3 children and her husband who is a local Cincinnati Firefighter.
Practice Philosophy
A Positive Experience from Start to Finish
Dr. Welden believes in using several different treatment modalities that work synergistically to get the best cosmetic outcome for each patient. In addition, we utilize state of the art treatments with modalities to minimize any discomfort felt with these treatments. We believe that cosmetic treatment does not have to be painful. We use Zimmer Chiller as well as numbing creams for decreased pain and increase effectiveness of all treatments.
Limelight Laser and Medical Spa is a physician-directed cosmetic practice. Dr. Welden does all the Botox injections, fillers, and most of the laser treatments. We also have a staff of physician assistants, nurses, and cosmetologist that are passionate about meeting all your treatment needs.
With a belief that there is a strong correlation between emotional and physical health, Dr. Welden has directly observed that when patients feel good about their appearance, their mood increases and stress decreases. He is intrigued by the power of aesthetic medicine and its ability to incorporate emotional and physical well-being to make patients look and feel their best.
