Our Services
A chemical peel can penetrate deep, medium, or superficial layers of your skin to enhance cell turnover and improve the overall appearance of your skin. At Limelight Laser and Medical Spa, we offer both medium- and superficial-depth peels. Both of our superficial SkinCeuticals peels, which are exclusive to aesthetic practices and cannot be purchased online, and our medium-depth VI peels are very effective for someone who wants to see great results with little-to-no downtime.
The benefits of a chemical peel are:
- Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improved appearance of age spots
- Improved skin texture
- Reduction of large pores
SkinCeuticals Peels
SkinCeuticals peels are superficial and only penetrate the uppermost layer of the epidermis. They are most often performed in a series to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. We often recommend these peels 2 weeks before any laser treatments to help prepare the skin for laser treatment.
SkinCeuticals peels can be effective in treating:
- Acne: Superficial chemical peels exfoliate the skin, effectively removing dead skin cells, any buildup, and excess oils. It also unclogs hair follicles and pores while reducing the appearance of pimples, fading pigmentation, acne scars, thereby improving overall skin texture.
- Fine lines and wrinkles: Our peel treatments can help reduce the appearance of signs of aging that are found under the eyes and around the mouth in sun-damaged or aging skin.
- Skin texture and roughness: Our chemical peel treatments help boost the amount of collagen in the upper layer of your skin, resulting in improved skin texture.
- Lentigines (large freckles known as liver or age spots): These develop due to sun exposure and are often present on sites exposed to the sun, such as the face, arms, and neck. We can help you lighten large freckles and improve the appearance of sun-damaged skin with a course of our chemical peel treatments.
- Melasma: It is a skin discoloration that appears as patches on the cheeks, nose, upper lip, and forehead. It is common in women who are on hormonal treatments, like contraceptives or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), and pregnant. A course of our chemical peels can lighten the appearance of these dark and stubborn discolored skin patches.
- Hyperpigmentation: If you are dealing with hyperpigmentation and have patches of skin that are much darker than your skin tone, we can help. We recommend our SkinCeuticals chemical peels in Cincinnati for hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. We can effectively lighten and even out your complexion and improve the appearance of your skin with the help of our chemical peel treatments.
SkinCeuticals MicroPeels
The SkinCeuticals MicroPeel 20 or 30 is a three-step clinical procedure combining an exfoliating chemical peel solution of 20% or 30% glycolic acid with a Vitamin C firming masque to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, laxity, dullness, and skin imperfections.
VI Peels
Our VI peel treatment is a medium-depth chemical peel treatment that can be applied to the face and various other body areas to treat everything from uneven skin tone and texture to age and sun damage. The peel works by rejuvenating the skin at a deeper level and is effective for all skin types and complexions. VI peels require minimal downtime, and most people can return to their usual routine right after the treatment.
Typically, a series of three peels administered six weeks apart is an effective regimen to achieve desirable results, after which they can be performed yearly or as needed to preserve that youthful, refreshed look.
Vibraderm
Our Vibraderm treatment is an alternative to microdermabrasion and is used to improve the appearance of the skin by exfoliating and stimulating the production of collagen. The Vibraderm device uses sonic vibration technology to smooth and renew the skin and causes lesser skin irritation than conventional microdermabrasion, resulting in minimal downtime. The procedure is relaxing, and we often perform a Vibraderm treatment in preparation for other treatments such as IPL, chemical peels, and microneedling.

Chemical Peel FAQs
Is a Chemical Peel Better Than Laser Treatments?
A chemical peel produces the best results when combined with laser or IPL treatments. At our medical spa, we often recommend an initial chemical peel before or after an IPL or laser treatment to give the most optimal results in a short period.
How Many Chemical Peels Will I Need?
Our moderate-depth peel treatments produce excellent results when done 3–4 times a year. Superficial peel treatments are much milder, so you can come in every month to get one.
Are Chemical Peels Painful?
No, the VI peel is not painful. You will feel a slight stinging sensation for a few seconds that subsides almost immediately. We also use the Zimmer Chiller to increase our patient’s comfort during the session.
Be it chemical peels or laser hair removal near you, our treatment techniques ensure you feel the least amount of pain and discomfort.
How Much do Chemical Peel Treatments Cost?
Our chemical peels are relatively low-cost treatments, and the cost further decreases when used in conjunction with a combination of our other procedures to achieve optimal results. Superficial peels are less expensive than a deeper peel like a VI peel. For example, a single SkinCeuticals peel costs $125, while a single VI peel costs between $275–$355.
